I was a day trader living in Thailand.
In December I was hit head-on by a truck coming the wrong way round a blind corner. I broke twenty-seven bones — my pelvis, my sacrum, six vertebrae, my eye socket in eight places, both feet. I had four brain bleeds and two clots. I was in a coma for a month, and my parents were flown out because the hospital didn’t expect me to wake up.
When I did, I couldn’t move my arms or speak. I was told I wouldn’t be out of bed for six months, and wouldn’t walk or talk for a year or more.
I talked within a week. I walked within a month.
People ask what got me from there to here. I’m one person with one recovery, and one person is a story rather than evidence — so I’m not going to stand here and tell you what to take from it. What I will tell you is what it left me with: an unreasonable interest in whether things are what they say they are.
Before any of this I’d already been buying research compounds, and spending a serious amount doing it — several hundred pounds a week. Two things about that market bothered me enough to do something about them.
The price was absurd. Not because the materials are expensive to make, but because the supply chain is long, opaque, and every link takes a margin for handling something nobody wants to be accountable for.
The documentation didn’t exist. I asked for certificates of analysis and mostly got nothing. When I did get something, it was often a single document reused across an entire product line — a certificate for a compound, not for a batch, which tells you nothing about the vial in your hand. Some of what I was sent didn’t match its paperwork at all.
That’s a strange position to be in. You’re buying a material whose entire value depends on it being precisely what it claims, from people who can’t show you that it is.
So I started Pioneer to do the two things the market wasn’t doing: sell at a price that reflects what the material actually costs, and publish the analysis in full.
Not long after launch I audited my own certificate archive.
I found three reports — three different compounds, three different batch numbers, three different dates — all carrying the same verification key. A verification key belongs to one report and one report only. Three documents sharing one means at least two had been altered after the laboratory issued them.
They’d reached me through a supplier. They had been live on my own website.
I pulled them, took the stock off sale, and rebuilt the certificate library from reports I’d verified individually. I could have quietly deleted them and said nothing. I’m telling you because you’re being asked to trust a stranger with your money, and the useful thing to know about a stranger is what they do when nobody is watching.
Every batch we test is analysed by Janoshik Analytical in Prague, independently of us. Every certificate is published in full, with the laboratory’s own verification key printed next to it, so you can confirm the figure directly with the lab without going through me.
Figures are published as measured. The range across current batches runs from 98.872% to 99.880%. Where a batch was submitted for quantification rather than purity determination, the library says so rather than leaving the column blank and letting you assume.
People sometimes ask why so few suppliers publish certificates. The honest answer is cost. Independent analysis runs me between £350 and £550 per batch, every batch, before a single vial is sold. It is far cheaper to print a number on a label and hope nobody checks.
I’d rather carry that cost than ask you to take my word for anything.
I don’t print a minimum purity, because a minimum is a promise about batches that haven’t been made yet. I’d rather show you the number the laboratory actually produced.
Stock is held in the UK and dispatched the same day on orders placed before 2pm — days rather than the weeks you’ll wait on anything shipped from overseas.
